✘—-; ❛ Whatcha drinkin’ sugar. ❜She murmurs from behind the bar, turning
to the new arrival. Don hadn’t seen this one
before, and fresh faces didn’t tend to come
by Reno too often.❛ Where ya from? Ain’t seen you ‘round here b’fore. ❜

❝Jameson.❞ There’s a muted agitation in her tone but it has
little to do with the woman questioning her and everything to
do with the new smart phone she’s been fiddling with for over
an hour. How that sales clerk managed to talk her into buying
the thing was beyond her, but to be frank she probably would
have done anything to end his long winded sales pitch. She’s
never been one for conversation or people for that matter, they
tend to exhaust her to no end. And yet here she was, in Reno
attempting to mingle with the patrons and failing miserably due
to the fact that she —-to put it quite simply—- has no interest in
those outside her close circle of friends.
Not that she came out here in seeking friendship or anything close
to it. The sole purpose of her trip to Reno was blow off some steam
so to speak. But it was almost impossible to take her mind off of the
family she’d left at home. Eyes flicking up from the screen of her
phone momentarily to set her gaze upon the woman tending the bar,
she offers something close to a smile, it’s weak, it’s feigned, but it’s
the best she can do considering the fact that she’s lost in her thoughts.
❝Belfast… or Charmin’ now ah guess.❞
